It’s only January 22nd, and we (Brad and I) already have so much on our plate for 2010…and I’m so psyched for all of it! I’m not sure if I’ve announced it to you, but we will be moving to El Paso, Texas! My DH (Dear Husband) is in the Army so our first duty station will be at Fort Bliss, Texas! I’m so excited (mostly because I’ve secretly always wanted to see what it’s like to be a Texan)! I’ve always liked change…I adapt very easily to new locations and a new life, so I’m up for the challenge!
*We will be moving to TX towards the end of June so I will continue to book Pittsburgh/Morgantown weddings and photo shoots up until June 26, 2010.
*I will begin accepting work in El Paso starting July 2, 2010.
Aside from our big move, I have dived head first into boudoir photography! It is sooooo fabulous and fun! For those who haven’t heard of it, the words that first come to mind when I think of boudoir photography (as I have come to love it) are: intimate, beautiful, curves, timeless portraits, fun!, fierce, lingerie, sexy, “ooo la la,” mysterious, femme fatale, confidence, powerful, for your lover’s eyes, and most importantly you and your fabulousness!
Think along the lines of Victoria’s Secret catalog or GQ! Brides will often do a session as their wedding day gift for their groom (that’s what I did!) Girlfriends will do a session for the boyfriends, or wives for their husbands. These intimate albums make amazing wedding day gifts, anniversary gifts or Valentines’ Day gifts. From my own experience and what I’ve heard from other women, the guys are always shocked to see their girl be such a bombshell!
I did my first shoot this past week with two of my girl friends. When K and L came over, it just felt like we were playing dress up. I had downloaded some fun, French music…I layed out all my necklaces and jewelry…and we just rolled with it. I’m so super excited to share the photos, but just as I’ll do with all my clients, I’ve asked them to look at their photos first in a private viewing gallery before I post any on my blog…so thank you for your patience!
Since a blog post is uber lame without a photo…here’s a photo to warm up your thoughts during these cold cold days! (Photo was taken on our honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on our way to Vallarta Palace! I’d like to go back right about now!) =D
