For as long as I can remember, we have always been a health-oriented family. And the fueling engine behind it all, really, has been my sister Agnes. She’s amazing and sooo funny, and now she’s started her own CRON blog! CRON? Calorie Restriction Optimum Nutrition. Eat less…because really, our bodies are not meant to eat as much as we do. And when you do eat, eat the stuff that your body, your machine, needs and wants! As the little sister, of course, I do anything that Agnes does and so I’ve started CRONing, also. A little differently than the way Agnes does it though. She’s really into dairy. Me, I like cheese and yogurts, just not five times a day. I’d rather eat a head of lettuce.
Here is my gorgeous sister Agnes!
…I say I’m the little sister, but honestly, I always tell her she looks younger than I do. It’s CRON. Along with the side effect of weight loss, it’s said to slow down the aging process. (The less you eat, the less your body has to digest all that food, the less it “works,” the less you age!…makes sense) And of course, since you’re feeding your body all these healthy foods, your skin is destined to be lovely!
There’s many ways to CRON. Just stick to the Jesus diet…(If Jesus didn’t make it, don’t eat it…and Jesus did not make Cheetos.)
Here’s a sample day from my food log:
green tea (0 calories) with honey (1tbsp, 60 calories)
1/4 cup oatmeal, measured dry (75 cals) with 3/4 cup blueberries (80 cals)
A deeelish salad of:
lettuce (like 15 cals?)
tilapia (75 cals) with old bay seasoning and honey drizzled over top (40 cals)
grapes on the side (30 cals)
and 1/4 cup almonds (210 cals)
and a little shredded mozzarella cheese sprinkled over the whole plate (40 cals)
half of a Kashi pizza (organic aisle of your grocery store) (450 cals)
2? 3? glasses of pinot grigio (5 oz is approx. 100 cals, depending on brands and all)
So that comes to a grand total of 1075! before the wine..with the 3 glasses, it’s 1375 (woopsies!)
But I typically try to stick to 1100-1300. I’ve only been doing this for about 4 days. I started at 152 lbs. and this morning I weighed in at 148.4 Woop woop! (That’s right…I just posted my weight to all my internet friends!)
But anyways, check out my sister’s blog! She’s amazing and so funny and a very motivating person! And I can’t wait to dance it up with her next week when we go to Nicole’s wedding!
