She is Sandi with an “i,” and she came into my studio ready to go for her boudoir photo shoot!  One thing that immediately stood out for me with Sandi was the love that she has for her husband, and the youthfulness/freedom that she exudes just by being who she is.  I admire that so much, because I want to be like that!
Sandi is fun, sexy, independent and filled with love!  But that’s very easy to see when she tells us about her boudoir experience… Enjoy!

PBI: First, tell us about yourself!
S:  I am 47 years old, happily married for over 25 years, and mother of 3.  My husband and I were high school sweethearts and dated for 8 years before we got married.

PBI:  Why did you decide to do a boudoir shoot now (versus last year or 5 years from now)?
S:  Honestly, it’s nothing that ever crossed my mind till recently.  My friend showed me the website and said that she was very interested in having a boudoir photo shoot done.  We looked at the pictures together and it interested me as well.  I’ve recently lost 35 pounds and I feel really good about myself right now.  It’s hard for my husband to appreciate my weight loss because I still wear a lot of my old clothes, which are very loose fitting.  I wanted to do this to commemorate our 25th Wedding Anniversary, but didn’t get my act together on time, so I did it for his birthday instead.  Maybe now, he will give me gift cards for a shopping spree!
PBI:  What made you decide to do your boudoir shoot with me?
S:  I loved how sensual the photos looked.  I loved the fact that even though the ladies were scantily dressed, the photographs were beautiful and in good taste.

PBI:  How did you feel going into your boudoir shoot?
S:  I was a little nervous about the shoot, but determined.  I told myself that I was not going to chicken out!  LOL!  Ivona made me feel at ease from the get go and that made the experience very easy-going and enjoyable.
PBI:  Did you have any reservations or concerns about this type of photo shoot?  If yes, how did you overcome those concerns?
S:  Only about my own body.  Which I guess is normal for women.  I overcame my concerns once Ivona started positioning me and how she was positioning herself to take the photograph.  I realized that I had nothing to worry about.
PBI:  Did you do anything to prepare for your boudoir shoot?
S:  Of course!  Manicure, pedicure, waxing, shopping, shopping, and more shopping!  The day of the shoot, I got my hair done and my make-up professionally applied.  I knew that I couldn’t do that myself.  Lydia (Playing With Color) did an awesome job applying my make-up and gave me a very glamorous look, false eyelashes and all!  Loved it! (Lydia’s information below.)
PBI:  Were you nervous when your boudoir shoot began?
S:  I was, but it didn’t last long at all.
PBI:  Were you still nervous at the end?
S:  No, not at all.  I felt empowered!
PBI:  Tell us what it was like to be photographed by Ivona?
S:  Truly a great experience.  I love her approach of simplicity and less is more because it works.  She believes that the object of the photograph should be the person herself, not props.  I love that about her.  Also, her free spirit is very contagious.

PBI:  What was your favorite part of your boudoir experience?
S:  All the affirmations that I received during the process.
PBI:  What surprised you most about your boudoir experience?
S:  The finished product, of course!  Amazing!
PBI:  Tell us about your favorite image from your boudoir shoot!
S:  I loved the image where I’m just wearing a sheet and I’m stroking my hair.  When I look at that picture, I see the woman that I’ve dreamt of becoming…sensual, confident, and strong.  I also love the simplicity of the photograph and the warmth of my skin and hair, against the light-colored sheet.  Absolutely breath-taking.
PBI:  Would you do it again?  Would you recommend a boudoir shoot to other women?
S:  ABSOLUTELY!  Actually, I want to do it again and show a different side.  A more wild, over the top sexy side!  LOL!
PBI:  Any advice for women who are thinking about doing a boudoir shoot?
S:  Yes, take your time in selecting your wardrobe.  Decide if you want to be conservative, classic, sexy, or wild and just go for it!  If you feel good in what you are wearing, it will come through in the photographs.
PBI:  Do you have anything else you’d like to add?
S:  If you have ever considered doing this, just do it!  You will never regret it.
PBI:  Thank you so much, Sandi!  I loved our photo shoot together.  You are fabulous!
