Brad and I have a decent sized walk-in closet. Over the past few months, that’s where we have been putting all the gifts for Baby Charlie, including anything this mama will need once baby is here. It got to the point where I had to seek out a 2-inch spot, just big enough so I could step into it on my tippy toes, grab what I needed, and hop out before I lost my balance! At that point, I knew it was time for some organizing. We fished out some huge plastic bins from our garage and started to clear out the closet.
Just as Brad secured the lid on the second bin, I said, “Oh, we forgot one!” Brad glanced up at the little outfit that had been hanging on his side of the closet for the past few months, shook his head and said, “Let’s leave it out…I like it there.”
Not surprisingly, his sentiment made me cry, just as it does now when I think back to that sweet little moment. It’s the little things that let me know he will be the best father ever to our son, and we are both so lucky to have him.
