“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”
I have a friend who has had her share of heartbreak…and I don’t just mean in the romantic sense. She’s been through a lot and has clearly risen above all the challenges set before her. She’s a woman with her own career, her own ideas and opinions, her own set of standards for the life she wants, and she continuously looks for new challenges to experience and to learn from. The things that may have brought her down in the past, she has used to motivate her to try harder and go farther.
Life is never perfect, and we would be doing ourselves an injustice if we used “the things we’ve been through” as excuses rather than motivators.
So, I challenge you and myself, to do something you’ve never done. Sign up for something that you fear might be out of reach. Say those words to that someone that you’ve been meaning to express for so long now. And see what happens. And don’t worry about regretting it later on. How can you regret doing something if it was honesty and your heart/passion that led you to do it in the first place?
Thank you to my empowering friend, A., for allowing me to post some of her boudoir photos!
